Common questions
My licence email has not arrived
Look in your spam or junk folder, and mark the email as not spam so our next one reaches your inbox.
Not there either? Get it sent again, or email us.
I have a new Mac
Install Prokoll on it and enter your licence. Prokoll offers to move it there and emails a code to the address you bought with. The other Mac then stops making new recordings and keeps every meeting.
A licence can move 3 times in 12 months. To move it more often, email us.
I no longer use the email I bought with
Email us with your name and roughly when you bought Prokoll. We will check the purchase and help you from there.
What kind of Mac do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later), 16 GB of memory, macOS 15 or later and 10 GB of free space.
Does Prokoll work on iPhone or iPad?
Prokoll is a Mac app and does not work on iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows.
Does anything leave my Mac?
Never your meetings. Prokoll downloads what it needs once, checks for updates once a day, and talks to us when you activate or move a licence.
Does Prokoll work in a meeting room?
Yes. Put your Mac on the table and record with the microphone. Adding the people taking part helps Prokoll tell the voices apart.
Can I record a meeting in two languages?
Each meeting is transcribed in one language. Words in another language, such as English in a Swedish meeting, are written in the meeting's language.
Can I pause a recording?
Yes. While it is paused, Prokoll hears nothing. Click Resume and the meeting carries on, and the transcript shows where you paused and for how long.
Is the recording kept?
No. Prokoll deletes the recording once it has been transcribed, and keeps the transcript and the notes, encrypted on your Mac.
Which languages does it understand?
Prokoll transcribes meetings in English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, German, French, Dutch and Spanish, and the app itself speaks all nine.
